Bernhard and Hartmut Mühlner build a VW Golf GTI for national rally events. This marks the beginning of Mühlner Motorsport.

Under the technical direction of Bernhard Mühlner, the company develops its own racing cars and goes on to achieve victories and six championships.

The Belgian company moves into its base in the immediate vicinity of the Grand Prix circuit at Spa-Francorchamps.

Four Volvo S60 race cars, 32 races and 17 victories define this successful period. Class wins at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2003 and 2004 are among the highlights.

Mühlner Motorsport establishes a dedicated Porsche racing structure and celebrates international class and group victories.

Mühlner Motorsport enters the Porsche Supercup and expands its activities into one of the most prestigious international one-make racing series.

Tim Bergmeister wins the drivers’ championship with Mühlner Motorsport; at Spa the team also secures another one-two finish in its class.

Mühlner Motorsport competes in the Porsche Sports Cup, the German endurance championship at the Nürburgring, ADAC GT Masters and the FIA GT3 European Championship as well as the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Spa. The season yields 9 wins, 10 second places and 4 third places.

At its home race at Spa-Francorchamps, Mühlner Motorsport takes the FIA GT3 overall victory. Three new Porsche 911 GT3 R cars join the programme; across the season the team records 9 wins, 5 second places and 3 third places, while also competing in the UAE GT Championship.

Mühlner Motorsport runs two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars in the FIA GT1 World Championship for Exim Bank Team China and is responsible for the cars, engineering and strategy. At the team’s home event in Zolder, Mike Parisy and Matt Halliday win the Championship Race.

In 2013 Mühlner contests the full GRAND-AM championship in North America, including the 24 Hours of Daytona. In 2014 two Porsche 911 GT America cars follow in the new IMSA-sanctioned TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

At Road America a Mühlner race car records the 600th classified finish in the team’s history. At the Euro Race at Spa-Francorchamps, the team then reaches its 250th podium. The season concludes with two Porsche entries in the Porsche Supercup at Austin.

Mühlner Motorsport and Muehlner Motorsports America introduce the new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport on both sides of the Atlantic. In North America the team competes in the GS class of the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, while the European programme includes the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The Porsche Cayman GT4 CS #979 with Moritz Kranz, Alexander Schula and Hamza Owega wins the Porsche Cayman Trophy. Across nine races the crew scores 6 wins and 3 second places, plus 6 pole positions and 8 fastest race laps. The Cayman GT4 MR is also highly successful in SP10 with 3 wins and one second place from only four starts.

On the team’s 43rd participation in a 24-hour race, Mühlner Motorsport scores a class one-two with two Porsche Cayman GT4 cars at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. In VLN, Marcel Hoppe, Moritz Kranz and Tim Scheerbarth win the Carrera Cup class with six victories in nine races, while Moritz Kranz and Mühlner also defend the Cayman Trophy drivers’ and team titles.

Mühlner Motorsport marks 30 years of participation in the German Nürburgring endurance championship/VLN. At the 2019 ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours, the team also scores an SP7 class victory with the Porsche 911 GT3.

Muehlner Motorsports America runs two Norma M30 LMP3 cars in the IMSA Prototype Challenge. The programme delivers 3 pole positions, 2 overall wins and the drivers’ runner-up title, followed by third overall at the Sebring Encore.

The programme expands to include LMP3 racing in Europe and North America. At the season finale in Portimão, Mühlner scores another podium finish.

Mühlner Motorsport expands its LMP3 programme in the Michelin Le Mans Cup with two new Duqueine D08 prototypes. At the Road to Le Mans on the Circuit de la Sarthe, Moritz Kranz and Ugo de Wilde take pole position and overall victory in the No. 21 car.

Mühlner Motorsport moves up to the top LMP2 category of the European Le Mans Series with a new Oreca 07. Matthias Kaiser, Thomas Laurent and Ugo de Wilde share the No. 21 car. The team scores points on its debut at Paul Ricard with ninth place and takes its first LMP2 podium with third place at Monza. Further points follow in Barcelona. Despite three accident-related retirements, Mühlner finishes its first ELMS LMP2 season 11th out of 17 teams.

Mühlner Motorsport enters the newly created LMP3 Prototype Cup Germany with Donar Munding and Matthias Lüthen in the No. 21 Duqueine D08. At the Lausitzring they score Mühlner’s first overall victory in the series and the first Prototype Cup Germany win for a Duqueine D08. The pairing scores points in all eight races and finishes third overall. Donar Munding wins the Junior championship and Matthias Lüthen the Trophy classification.

Mühlner Motorsport continues its Prototype Cup Germany programme with the No. 21 Duqueine D08. Reigning ADAC TCR Germany champion Martin Andersen makes the transition from touring cars to a Le Mans prototype and competes as a solo driver. At Oschersleben, the Dane reaches fourth place. At the same time, Mühlner continues to develop its LMP3 junior programme and international talent search.

At just 16 years of age, Keanu Al Azhari competes as a solo driver for Mühlner Motorsport in the Duqueine D08 and develops into one of the fastest drivers in the Prototype Cup Germany. After several pole positions, he wins at Zandvoort and again at the season finale at the Sachsenring. Further podium finishes follow at Hockenheim and the Nürburgring. Al Azhari finishes fourth in the championship with 191 points and sets the fastest qualifying lap of the entire season at the Sachsenring.

Seven Cup 2 victories, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring title and the NLS runner-up championship mark an outstanding season.

Dubai, Daytona, Nürburgring, Spa and Barcelona: Mühlner successfully competes in some of the world’s most important endurance races.
